Mount Cook and the lake Tekapo

M O U N T   C O O K

Mount Cook is a real calming place. More, it is a beautiful environment where we can enjoy different tracks.

We did one, 3h walk along the mountain, to arrive in front of a big lake with ice block on it.

After this, we went back to a river for Pierre, the night before he fished his first truit!! We wanted to try again. Fail. But the first one was really delicious. We passed the night next to the lake Tekapo, where the sky is really wonderful. But, to be honest, the sky is incredible everywhere in the South Island.

We wanted to visit the observatory but it is expensive so we took the road to Christchurch.
