Masterton and its area

After Christmas days, we enjoyed the sun and explore Masterton's area.

We drived until Castle Point. It is one of the famous beach in this part of the isle.

We walked until the lighthouse to admire the view from there.

After that, we meet some of his friend to go in a rivers.

To go to this spot, we had two choices : cross the river by yourself    /   climb in a tree to access a bridge to cross the river.

For the first way, we crossed the river (Morgan's choice!). The second way was on a bridge.

Arrived at the spot, we discovered a really peace place where you can admire river and hills at the same time.

There was a big rock where you can jump in the deep rivers. Probably 4 or 5 meters high.

Pierre jumped in the really cold water.

 

Morgan discovered for the first time the sandflies. Approximatively 20 bites just on her legs.

Do you know what is the sandflies?

They are litlle bug like mosquitos but it is worst! They bit you and they tear your skin off. After that, you just want to scratch yourself but you can't! If you scratch yourself, you are infect. So you don't have to touch it. But you can trust us, this is worst than mosquitos bite.
